Tonight, we're recommending two dance parties we told you about earlier in the week--The Analog Space Black Christmas Party and the Bring Your Own Records Party and benefit--because both are for a good cause, and both promise a throwdown of some great jams.

Peter Black's eclectic, rotating crew of DJs will see Ginger Perry, Drop Logic and Lipgloss' c.db.sn on decks this time around for the annual 21 and up, totally free holiday dance party. The Black Christmas party at Meadowlark is also running a food drive, so donations are happily taken (but not required.)

Just a few blocks over, Jason Cain and Sarah Slater will be hosting the Winter Solstice Record Party and Holiday Auction, a benefit for former Pablo's barista Meagan Patrick, who is fighting brain cancer. This party is also free, but asking for a donation of ten bucks at the door to go toward the uninsured Patrick's medical bills. Slater and Cain will be sharing the vinyl love, but this party is also B.Y.O.R.--so bring your own records and give DJing a try.
