Manhattan duo Cults (playing the Larimer Lounge tonight with Guards and Writer) are, essentially, a pop group. At first glance, the band's name may be far from suggesting this genre idea, but the pair definitely create a warm and sparkling big room sound, with Madeline Follin's childish vocals set sweetly on top.

Born barely two years ago, the band released a single EP and was quickly swept up into the blog buzz fold and set on the festival and touring track almost immediately. Cults recently celebrated the release if their first self-titled, full-length album in June of this year. This show is sold out.
