Tonight, the "People's Champ," Paul Wall returns to Denver for a performance at Casselman's with Hurricane Chris and DJ Michael 5000 Watts. The Texas titan will no doubt bring his country grammar and lively performance swag to the mile high with a set featuring new music and his unique southern sound.
At Appaloosa Grill, meanwhile, DJ Khalib, Jason Lovejoy and friends will be heating up the dance floor for the Electric Pony shin-dig. As always, there's no cover (donations are accepted), and you should come prepared to cut a rug to some tech-junkie, nu-disco sounds.
On Saturday night, Cobraconda, DJ Vajra and swaager.com will shut the Beauty Bar down with a Lucha-rama party. This installment is a Pimps and Pin-ups party, so ladies, wear your corsets, and fellas get your pimp hand ready 'cause this one is going to be a ball.
American Trash Republic and New Leaf Entertainment is throwing a CD release party for Concept One's new album, Beautiful Disaster at Casselman's. The album chronicles the last four years of Concept's life in great detail. Raekwon is in town and will be hitting the stage with Freddie Gibbs, Cory Gunz, Supernatural and a slew of other special guests, including American Trash Republic, God's Forgotten, Cadalack Ron, Diamond Boiz, DJ Stretch, Creation BSM, Mish, Fresh Illmade and more.
If you're ready for an art experience, head over to 1201 Santa Fe Drive for the launch of Pennylane Productions with music by Dose the Planet, art by Micah Mitchell, Anna Kleppe and many more. Rockstar Lounge is letting everyone in for free this weekend and is promising a pretty grand time and enough drink specials to keep you dancing all damn night. KDJ Above will be on party rocking duties.
