A wise man once gave credence to the whole idea of living for the weekend with one simple phrase, "party and bullshit." With that in mind, we've put together a rundown of the best roof-raising get downs the city has to offer this weekend, including Gold Standard at 24K tonight and the latest installment of the Solution Showcase with Che Grand, 1984 and Dealz Makes Beats tomorrow night at the Meadowlark. Page down for this weekend's best party bets, your guide to getting down.

Friday night, check for 3 Deep Productions and Kevin Kain over at 24K featuring sounds by KDJ Above and DJ Squirt for their weekly Friday night shindig dubbed The Gold Standard. These guys know how to party, and if you like to get snazzy and jam to the finest sounds amongst fly people, this is your spot.

DJ Low Key, DJ Lazy Eyez and friends will host New York's Che Grand, along with 1984, Dealz Makes Beats and a slew of other folks for the latest installment of the Solution Showcase on Saturday at the Meadowlark. 21+up, $8 at the door.

During the day on Saturday, stop through Redline art gallery for amazing food demonstrations and discussions of revolutionary green growing tactics led by Neambe LeadonVita for this year's Roots, Beans, and Green Carpet Mixer. A fundraiser for the Brown Sugar Youth Festival, the event has a $20 suggested donation, but no one will be turned away. Good food, art and community.

Rounding things out are a couple of weeklies: Over at Opal Lion, the island community will most definitely be in full effect with all the latest in rasta culture, nightlife and reggae vibes. Find yourself indulging with a Red Stripe, getting down to the sounds of Bushy Bush and the family. Drink specials all night and a considerable amount of dancing all over the room.

At Rockstar Lounge, meanwhile, drinks and shenanigans abound with the aforementioned KDJ Above on the wheels of steel. Tons of drink specials and all sorts of awesome treatment for the ladies for this weekly party that's not to be missed. As always 21+up to drink and party.
