Bank robber's disguise: terrible fashion sense

It's been a tough month so far for Bank of the West and TCF branches in the metro area.

On December 2, masked gunmen held up a Bank of the West at 7995 East Hamden Avenue. Then, yesterday, a man did likewise at the BOTW outlet at 9150 Sheridan Boulevard in Westminster.

Unlike the previous robbers, this guy didn't bother to cover his face, presumably confident that the hideous combination of sunglasses, a camouflage-style cap and a plaid jacket would effectively blind onlookers. But perhaps the brave among you will be able to see through this fashion disaster. Look below for more robbery shots, as well as the FBI's release on the crime.

And TCF? One of that firm's storefronts, at 15350 East 6th Avenue in Aurora, was robbed on December 9 by gun-wielders matching the description of the men who staged the first Bank of the West job. Then, yesterday, a bare-faced, less gaudily garbed guy armed with a note did a similar deed at TCF's 2090 S. University Boulevard location. Below, find photos of him, as well as that FBI release:
