The morning after Republican presidential nominee John McCain's final (thank goodness) presidential "debate" against Democratic standard-bearer Barack Obama, KHOW/630 AM is running promos announcing that McCain will appear tomorrow, October 17, during the afternoon-drive show helmed by Dan Caplis and Craig Silverman.
This will mark McCain's second cameo on a Denver-based, Clear Channel-owned talk-radio station in a week; he turned up on KOA/850 AM's morning show on October 10. Clearly, McCain still sees Colorado as winnable despite a series of polls showing Obama with leads of between 4 and 9 percent in the state. And he could hardly find a more friendly inquisitor than Caplis. Big Dan emceed the first McCain-Sarah Palin co-appearance in Colorado back in September, and he never misses a chance to suggest that the country will wind up looking like a scene from Road Warrior if Obama wins. And Silverman? He'll be there, too. -- Michael Roberts
