Have you had it with this year? Enter Westword's "Why I'm Ready to Kiss 2007 Goodbye" essay contest and you could see the year out in style - with a gift certificate to one of Denver's best restaurants. That's just one of the prizes that will be awarded to contest finalists; the grand-prize winner will also take home $100 and a bottle of cheap champagne with which to welcome the new year. To enter, all you need to do is write a few words (okay, we'll take up to a thousand) about why you'll be glad to say goodbye to 2007. Your essay could describe a single telling incident or be a scathing indictment of the entire year; just remember, confession is good for the soul. The deadline is 11:59 p.m. December 5; send your entry to [email protected], with your name (which will be withheld on request) and a contact number. The winning essays will be published in our New Year's Eve Guide 2007, coming in the December 13 issue of Westword.
