Photos: Ten free offers for flood victims on Denver Craigslist
Since the floods that have devastated so many Front Range communities, we've seen a few instances of bad behavior -- like alleged looting on the CU-Boulder campus -- but many more of people trying to help others in desperate situations. Examples? Denver Craigslist is currently festooned with offers from people eager to give stuff away free, but only to flood victims. We've collected and linked to ten such posts that leaped out at us, using either provided photos or shots from the flood to underline the need. They'll remind you of the good that can come out of the bad. Furniture for Flood Victims (6th Ave and High St.)

This barely used frame and queen size mattress futon (it sits dormant in our rarely used guest room) looks great, and is even more comfortable. The cream colored cover is new within the last few years, but has rarely been sat on. We are donating the futon to any flood victim because we simply never use it. It's in great condition. The only blemish is a small crack in one of the boards (see photo). However, it's on the non-sitting side, and it doesn't impact the sleep quality at all when folded out. Other than that, it's like new.
free tv and couch to flood victims. both in good working condition, owned only by our family in superior. must be picked up and moved yourself, my parents are a bit older and can not do it themselves.
* also the couch has a bed in it, so for some that might be a bonus if you lost everything, but it is very heavy * both items need at least two strong people to move
* also if you know anyone who needs clothing or you need other items, please let me know my parents and i both would like to give up anything we can so don't be afraid to ask for other stuff, we have ALOT between the two of us.
