In a recent Comment of the Day, a reader that he felt dumber after he stopped smoking pot.

This (probably) humorous take inspired a lot of folks on Facebook to contribute their own.

The following is one of our favorites — and even though it's tongue in cheek, it makes a serious point. Note that a 2014 study found a lower rate of domestic violence among couples who use cannabis.

Here's what he had to say.

If I stopped smoking pot, the drunks would annoy me so much more that I'd be driven to violent alcoholism.

Pot...keeping people calm and in check for 10,000 years.
