David Ludewig in a photo from his Facebook page.
Our post about the shooting death of David Ludewig, who was killed by a security guard after pointing at Airsoft gun at him, inspired readers to look at this tragic incident from a variety of angles. Here's the take of a professional security guard.
Jimmy Curtis writes:
I'm a security guard. I would not have attempted to detain a drunk guy for pissing on a dumpster. Ain't nobody got time for that. But I would shoot someone that points a weapon at me or anyone else. This kind of scenario is one of my worst nightmares. I don't envy the guard who has to live with the weight of killing a guy....especially when it could have been prevented.
