We knew Brock Osweiler wouldn't go undefeated as an NFL starter.

But that didn't lessen the sting of the Denver Broncos' completely dispiriting 15-12 loss to the hated Oakland Raiders yesterday.

Reasons why not? The Broncos were home, the Raiders are mediocre, the Denver defense played another stellar game in vain, and Osweiler couldn't finish a drive in the first half or score a single point in the second — and while a multitude of dropped passes and a missed field goal by Brandon McManus contributed to this last factor, there's no denying that the offense under Osweiler recalled the Tim Tebow era, except without the miracle finish.

During and after the game, Twitter users debated about whether Osweiler should continue to start, or if the rehabbing Peyton Manning, who could soon get doctor's approval to play again, are the better option for a team that still has Super Bowl aspirations despite yesterday's ignominious defeat.
