This week only, National Parks throughout the country are waiving their admission fees -- so you can enjoy the spring weather by exploring the natural beauty of this state, for free! Wonder of Wonders at the Center for the Arts Evergreen (Friday, free) Step into a surreal carnival tonight at this traveling exhibit in Evergreen. Five local artists have created pieces inspired by a circus that includes attractions like the Amazing Chicken Man and the World's Tiniest Elephant. The artists will be on hand to discuss their work; there will also be a live performance by the Snowflake Circus.

Semillas de Colorado: Stories From the Struggle at Su Teatro (Friday, by donation) Get inspired by a Romero Theater Troupe performance this evening that celebrates Colorado's unsung activist heroes. From a 1932 splash-in at Washington Park to protest discriminatory swimming rules to a more recent tale of a woman picketing the Tanner Gun Show, these untold stories will unfold on the stage. The event is free, but donations will be accepted for the Harm Reduction Center -- so you can support a good cause while getting a good dose of fascinating Colorado history.

National Parks Week (Friday-Sunday, free) Get out into nature and explore Colorado's national parks this weekend -- without having to pay entrance fees. Hike in Rocky Mountain National Park, explore Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument or see other marvels without having to pay a penny. See a full listing of national parks here.

Untitled #56 (Current) at the Denver Art Museum (Friday, $10) Tonight, you can plug into the world of electrical currents at the Denver Art Museum; DIY activities include sewing with conductive thread, making a mini-lantern with the Concoctory Creativity Shoppe, and much more. There will also be performances by Buntport Theater, a digital projection by Japanese video artist Taketo Kobayashi and a interactive show with the Musica Sacra Chamber Orchestra, so this month's Untitled event promises to be an electrifying evening at the museum.

Fragments music series at Crash 45 (Friday, $5) Now in its second month, Fragments is a new music series that puts together great lineups of interesting locals. Check out Talk All Night, Sex Therapy and BIRTH all for free -- but you'll want to bring cash so that you can buy a great burger at this Globeville bar.

Walker & Royce at Beauty Bar (Saturday, $8) TheHundred brings up-and-coming DJs and producers to town for sweaty, consistently killer dance parties. Tonight will continue that trend with Brooklyn duo Walker & Royce, who will provide the nu-disco soundtrack for a crazy night of moving on the dance floor.

Food Not Bombs Fundraiser at the Denver Art Society (Saturday, by donation) Food Not Bombs wants to help diminish world hunger by taking perfectly good food that supermarkets throw out and cooking meals for people in need. The Denver chapter currently serves food twice a week: Wednesdays at Civic Center Park and Saturdays at Sunken Gardens Park at 4 p.m., but the organizaation is looking to expand. A benefit today with live music, an art auction, food and local beer will raise money to help Food Not Bombs continue its mission of cutting down on food waste and putting meals in the mouths of the hungry.

The American Chekhov Project Open Rehearsal at the 910 Arts Gallery (Sunday, free) Watch the process of live theater evolve at this open rehearsal with Visionbox actors' studio. As as tribute to iconic Russian playwright Anton Chekhov -- who famously said that "one must not put a loaded rifle on the stage if no one is thinking of firing it" -- this performance will adapt the writer's work in a contemporary American context to make it more accessible for modern audiences.

Rumpus in the Park at City Park (Sunday, free) Party in the park this afternoon at this Fantastic Hosts outdoor bash! The Rumpus will feature food trucks, live music and more activities -- including a make-your-own-hula-hoop booth.

Dia del Nino at the Clyfford Still Museum and the Denver Art Museum (Sunday, free) To celebrate the youngest generation, the Clyfford Still Museum and the Denver Art Museum are opening their doors for free today. Even if you're just a child at heart, you'll enjoy wandering through the museums, looking at art, enjoying live performances and participating in art-making activities throughout the day.
