The Grawlix at the Bug Theater (Friday, $10) While the last Friday of the month means that rent deadlines are fast approaching, it also marks the return of one of the best comedy nights in Denver: the Grawlix. The trio of comedians Adam Cayton-Holland, Andrew Orvedahl and Ben Roy will premiere a new video from the Nix Brothers, and the night will include sets from Emily Maya Mills, Rob Gleeson, Dan Soder and Christian Duguay.
Electric Safari at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo (Friday-Sunday, $8.25) There are only a few more chances to see the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs all lit up for the holidays. Head south for the 23rd annual celebration of light sculptures and warming fires amidst the animals.
Twelve 1/2 Days of Xmas Live at MCA Denver (Friday-Sunday, $8) Just because the big day is over doesn't mean your Christmas has to end. The MCA's offbeat Twelve 1/2 Days of Xmas Live celebration continues this weekend with performances in the museum's atrium. Friday features a man in a gorilla suit playing light-up drums, Saturday brings Mark Putt dressed in a Santa suit and performing guitar songs, and Sunday will see a Mongolian jaw harp and electronic instruments inside a yurt.Celebrate Kwanzaa at the Ford-Warren Branch Library and the Green Valley Ranch Branch (Friday-Saturday, free) In celebration of African culture this weekend, two Denver Public Library branches will hold Kwanzaa events featuring performers and light refreshments. Friday's celebration will center on the Kwanzaa principle of Kujichagulia, or self-determination, and Saturday will focus on Ujima, or collective work and responsibility.
Go ice skating on Evergreen Lake (Friday-Sunday, $7) One of the most picturesque places to skate each winter is up in the mountains in Evergreen. Skate around on a real lake rather than a rink, and warm up with hot cocoa from the lake house.Desert Runners at the Dairy Center for the Arts (Friday-Sunday, $10) While marathons seem like a daunting task to most of us, ultramarathons are even more arduous: Runners travel 50, even 100 miles. Desert Runners, the film playing this weekend at the Dairy, chronicles the stories of non-professional runners as they attempt to run one of the most difficult ultramarathons on Earth.
Singing Bowl & Gong Bath at Nectar House (Saturday, $5-10 donation) Spend an hour today absorbing the healing vibrations from a gong bath. The sounds of crystal and %ibetan singing bowls will accompany the opening celebration for Nectar House, the brand-new raw vegan cafe and elixir bar inside Kindness Yoga on Broadway.

Propaganda at Lannie's Clocktower Cabaret (Sunday, free) Matt Monroe's monthly free comedy night at Lannie's is always a great bet for laughs, with no drink minimum,and free pizza. Headlining the show will be Los Angeles comedians Christian Duguay (MadTV, Arrested Development) and Emily Maya Mills (Parks & Recreation); other performers along with Minori Hinds, Andy Sell, Jordan Doll and Brett Hiker. And, as always, there will be free Sexy Pizza slice cards handed out at the show.
