10 Things to Do for $10 in Denver This Weekend (6 Free!), January 29-31

Boombaptricks at Bar Red (8 p.m. Friday, free)
Join the newest underground creative community tonight with activism, music, fashion and much more. Local hip-hop staple Ill Se7en has a new EP to release, while Flare.Square has new fashions to debut. All Real Radio, a hip-hop and activism-oriented Internet radio station will make its Denver premier as well. Boombaptricks was the brainchild of Anthony Mills, aka ZIN, who died in a car accident recently with fellow rapper and educator Kokayi Danladi. Celebrate the vision of these men, and enjoy. 

Denver Vintage Reggae Society at Illegal Pete's South Broadway (9 p.m. Friday, free)
Scott Damnit of the DVRS dusts off the vinyl to spin that '60s and '70s Jamaican ska, rocksteady, reggae and 2-Tone vinyl tonight. And it all rocks steady with Illegal Pete's burritos and margaritas. Get your south Broadway night started here.

David Bowie Music Video Party at Alamo Drafthouse (10 p.m. Saturday, $5)
The Thin White Duke departed from this Earth, but his legacy will never leave. Celebrate all incarnates of Bowie tonight with a video retrospective. From the dusty dive of Let's Dance to the haunting make-up of Starman, you will laugh, cry and everything in between. Have a dance for our boy David. 

The Magic Within Psychic Explorations With Magician Erica Sodos at Mercury Cafe (7 p.m. Saturday, $10)
Cross over into the future tonight with this performance, part magic and part psychic reading. Erica Sodos is one of the very few women mentalists in the world and has been honing her personal brand of spiritainment for over thirty years, so needless to say she has a few tricks up her sleeves. Let the telepathy, psychometry and other forms of ESP take you away and guide your path.

Inappropriate T-shirt Party at Fado Irish Pub (7 p.m. Saturday, free)
You always see those ridiculous shirts, but think, "I'll never be able to wear it in public." Well, tonight it will be just fine to wear that "It's not a bald spot..." shirt you bought in Key West after a few too many margs. Let the silliness, redneckery, sexism and general rudeness ensue —just remember to wear a jacket if you go out afterward.

Colorado Custom and Vintage Bicycle Expo—and Bicycle Swap at Jefferson County Colorado Fairgrounds (10 a.m. Sunday, $8)
You won't believe the incredible beauty that you will see in the bikes at this event. From pre-war and very early post-war European track bicycles to 1990-1995 Japanese touring bicycles, there are well over fifty categories in the Bicycle Concourse d’Elegance competition. Local craftsmen will be there to show off their handmade frames, and you can pick up a new brake lever at the swap. It's going to be paradise for the bike nerds. 

First Annual Mac n Cheese Bake Off at Barrel Room at Denver Beer Co (1 p.m. Sunday, free)
From the womb to the tomb, macaroni and cheese is a staple comfort food. The geniuses at Denver Beer Co instituted a competition to determine who can whip up the best batch of that thick creamy deliciousness. The first 100 people to show up will get to vote for the winners in the categories of Almost As Good As Your Mom's, Most Creative and Best Use of Beer, so get there early to get your spoon. Sunday's are for pigging out, so do it here. 

Curtis Park Ice Festival at Stout Street Children's Park (2 p.m. Sunday, free)
Have fun with your Five Points neighbors at a little winter festival today. Ice sculptures will be carved, and you can win prizes playing winter games and enjoy local treats and hot chocolate.

Lucha Libre & Laughs: Fists of Fury at The Oriental Theater (7 p.m. Sunday, $10)
Comedian Chuck Roy climbs to the top ropes to headline this mash-up of wrestling and jokes. Candyman and Danger Dean return to the ring in one of the many bouts power bombing tonight. Cody Spyker, Joshua Skillman, Kira MagCalen, and Dave Losso have jokes to tell.

Propaganda! A Comedy Show at Lannie's Clocktower Cabaret (8 p.m. Sunday, free)
On the last Sunday of the month, you better get your butt to Lannie's for the free comedy, pizza coupons and more. This month, welcome Kristin Clifford all the way from Chicago to the stage. Local laugh heroes  Mara Wiles, Preston Tompkins, Alan Bromwell and Bobby Crane will round out your weekend so you can be all chuckled out to return to work on Monday.
