Other free fun in Denver this week includes the first film in the Denver Public Library's Indian cinema series to open studio time with wedding-dress designer Maggie Evans. Monsoon Wedding at the Denver Central Library (Tuesday) Fresh City Life's Indian cinema series kicks off with Monsoon Wedding, a 2001 film about a traditional Punjabi wedding in Delhi. The series continues Tuesdays in August with other Bollywood film treats.

Maggie Evans Sewing Studio Hours at the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art (Tuesday-Friday) Throughout the week, dressmaker Maggie Evans will turn the BMoCA's museum shop into an interactive sewing studio -- where she will create a wedding dress from start to finish. Throughout the process from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, visitors are invited to write their thoughts and feelings directly on the dress to examine the emotions we have surrounding the ritual of marriage.

Fireside Chat at Bluff Lake Nature Center (Thursday) Learn about dinosaurs while you eat s'mores around a campfire at Bluff Lake Nature Center's last fireside chat of the summer. Folks from Dinosaur Ridge will host the educational talk and marshmallow roast. The event is free, but a $1 donation is suggested.
