Born Yesterday at the Denver Central Library (Tuesday) Get out of the heat and into the air-conditioned library for a screening of the 1950 comedy about a corrupt tycoon's mistress who becomes wise to her lover's shady attempts to buy a Congressman; Judy Holliday won an Oscar for her performance. This is part of the library's politics-themed film series -- it's a hot program, but you won't be.

Grand Opening at Sprouts Farmers Market (Wednesday) Celebrate the new Sprouts Farmers Market at natural grocery chain's grand opening party. Starting at 7 a.m., the store will offer a slew of deals, from a grocery bag filled with goodies to the first 200 shoppers who make a purchase, to free samples of food and lots more giveaways and festivities.

Raise the Roof at the Sie FilmCenter Roof (Thursday) Gaze at the Denver skyline while you party on the roof of the Sie FilmCenter. The second installment of the summer neighborhood block party will feature local food and drinks for purchase as well as a free concert by the Blue Rider and Esme Patterson and a comedy set from Adam Cayton-Holland.
