Whether you want to see a tribute to Woodstock, Joss Whedon's Serenity, or an evening of live storytelling and dance, you can do it all without dropping any cash. Serenity at the Denver Central Library (Tuesday) Spend your Tuesday night with the brilliant Joss Whedon. Or at least, with a movie written by him. The Denver Public Library's Fresh City Life will screen the Buffy-creator's epic Serenity, a sci-fi Western that was the follow-up to the one killer season of cult television show Firefly.

The Forum Stories: Of Rabbits and Hares at Junction Box (Wednesday) Sit back and listen to stories this evening from Wonderbound artistic director Garrett Ammon and author and City O' City/Watercourse mastermind Dan Landes tonight. The pair will regale audiences with true tales and a coinciding performance from Wonderbound dancers. In addition, you can look at art from Tom Varani, Michelle Christiance, and Andrea Pliner and purchase food and beverages from Bistro Colorado and local breweries.

Woodstock Tribute at the Westminster Promenade (Wednesday) For those who were born too late to experience the magic at the iconic 1969 music festival, the Westminster Promenade is recreating Woodstock tonight as part of its summer free concert series. Experience renditions of music like Janis Joplin, Jefferson Airplane, and The Who from the three days of peace and music.
