The pair connected almost instantly when Corrigan purchased Tomomi's series -- the first she had ever sold -- just as she was trying to decide whether to continue making art. The sale made all the difference.
That first collection that Corrigan purchased in 2008 will be unveiled tonight at the launch of Tomomi Colors, which specializes in high-quality prints and greeting cards. "If the company grows, hopefully we can roll out some of Tomomi's newer art and some children's books," says Corrigan. The Tomomi Colors website will launch simultaneously, displaying twelve pieces of art for sale along with the collection of greeting cards.
"I am as excited for this as much as anything in my life," says Corrigan. "Whether it is a child or a full-grown adult, I love how her art is able to connect to so many people and it makes me feel adventurous. I hope that others will enjoy it as much as I do."
