"The torchlight parade is one of my favorite mountain-town holiday traditions," says Tucker Burton, spokeswoman for Keystone Resort. "There's something ethereal about this gliding, glowing stream of light snaking its way down the mountain that gets me every time."

On December 31, Keystone's annual New Year's Eve Torchlight Parade will depart from the top of Dercum Mountain at 7 p.m., just after a fireworks display in Lakeside Village. There will be another round of fireworks at 10 p.m., and at 10:15 p.m., the Coral Creek String Band will kick off an all-ages New Year’s Eve concert with local acoustic quartet Head for the Hills as headliners at Warren Station Center for the Arts in the resort's River Run Village. Tickets are $18 in advance at www.keystonefestivals.com, $20 at the door.

For other family-friendly après-ski fun, check out the chocolate village created by pastry chef Ned Archibald at Keystone Lodge, as well as the Keystone Kidtopia activities, which include ice skating and "disco" snow tubing. For more information, visit www.keystoneresort.com.
