Ever wanted to donate to one of those really feel-good causes — but you spent all your money at the bar instead? Is rafting higher on your priorities list than helping starving kids in some Third World country? Today starting at 11 a.m., the Yagatta Regatta is your chance to make a difference while still having fun.

What's better than spending the afternoon racing down the river in full costume with five bands, four breweries and great food waiting at the finish line? How about donating to an important cause in the process? Done! All proceeds benefit Operation Vacation, a charity reuniting soldiers serving more than one consecutive tour in Iraq or Afghanistan with their families for an all-expense-paid weekend in Glenwood Springs.

Events take place at Three Rivers Park in Glenwood Springs. Rafting is $25 per raft; park admission is $10 per person. For more information, check out www.operationvacation.org.
