If you're one of those punk-rock aficionados with a bedroom full of obscure vinyl and a heart that beats to the rhythm of "White Minority," then you'll feel right at home at Growler Records' Mid-Winter Punk Film Festival. Featuring an impressive collection of underground punk films, the festival runs on Saturdays through February and March.

"It's winter, and the sun is going down at 6 p.m.," says fest organizer and Growler owner Molly Zackary. "Everyone is stuck inside. Let's take advantage of it being dark so early."

Future films include: Afro-Punk (February 25); Kill All Redneck Pricks (March 3); Smithereens (March 10); From the Back of the Room (March 17); and Born in Flames (March 31). Each screening will be hosted by Titwrench Festival director Sarah Slater. Short films will precede each feature, and drinks and snacks will be available through Yellow Feather. Growler Records and Yellow Feather share space at 742 Santa Fe Drive; a hefty $1 donation will be requested at the door. Get more information at http://growlerdistro.wordpress.com.
Saturdays, 6 p.m. Starts: Feb. 4. Continues through March 31, 2012
