5) A variety of sensual zombies at Lannie's If you like your zombies on the sexy side, Lannie's Clocktower Cabaret is your destination this year. It all starts at 7 p.m. tonight, October 15, when the Bella Diva Dance Show goes Halloween-themed with "The Dancing Dead," featuring zombie belly dancers and Brazilian "zombistas." Come in costume for a reduced price, and be prepared to do the iconic "Thriller" dance during the audience participation segment. Then at 8 p.m. and again at 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, October 17 and 18, enjoy the "Grotesque Burlesque," featuring an undead take on the ancient art of burlesque. Stripping zombies? Afterward, you really will be able to say you've seen it all.See "The Dancing Dead" at 7 p.m. Wednesday, October 15. Tickets are $15. 4) Night of the Living Dead LIVE! On Stage! Now in its sixth year, this humorous reinterpretation of George A. Romero's all-time zombie classic is a Denver zombie tradition. The campy take on the original blends projected footage with live performance for a unique theater experience that's a must-see for fans of the living dead. Plus, if you dress as a zombie and get a discounted ticket!

3) Zombie Hash A zombie hash is not a dish made by frying potatoes and onions with leftover zombies, thankfully. It is a combination urban race and pub crawl (with zombies), and this particular event is throwing in a book signing for a local writer's zombie book for good measure. Dress up undead, follow your trail leaders to various bars and drink until your brain is no good for zombies -- or anything else, for that matter. Then get your copy of The Village of Dead Souls signed by author Michael G. Wallace!The Zombie Hash starts at 7 p.m. Friday, October 17 at Satellite Bar; $5 for "Hash Cash" is the cost of entry, but bring enough money to keep the libations flowing or you're kind of missing the point. 2) Denver Zombie Crawl (and associated activities) If you only do one zombie activity in Denver this season, this it. The free crawl attracts tens of thousands of zombies and admirers from all over the region, making it one of the largest such events anywhere in the world. Dress up as a zombie for maximum enjoyment, or just come down to gawk at the freaks. If the walk itself isn't enough, there's the Organ Trail adventure race in the morning and the official after party (zombie prom and dance party!) to really embrace the undead lifestyle.
The zombie crawl proper starts at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 18 (you can show up as early as noon if you need help getting zombified) at Skyline Park. The Organ Trail kicks off at 9 a.m. and the afterparties open at 5:30 p.m. and officially start at 6 p.m. at City Hall. 1) Zombies 'R' Us Zombies came into their own in the world of film, but that doesn't mean they don't do just fine via the written word. Zombie lit gets its literal moment on stage at Zombies 'R' Us, a fundraiser for Stories on Stage. See professional actors perform selections of their favorite zombie works, from Max Brooks to undead haiku, all while contributing to a good cause. If you really want to help out Stories on Stage, you can even get tickets via their IndieGoGo campaign, which include other perks as well (zombie finger puppet!).
