Rocky Mountain High Gildar Gallery April 19 through May 24 Opening reception: 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, April 19
There's a joke embedded in this Colorado-themed group show, which aims to challenge the mythological West and its pristine and romantic Rocky Mountains with a dab of humor and a shot of reality. The exhibition's fourteen artists range from L.A. revisionist Frohawk Two Feathers to a rich vein of Denver bedrock, including Phil Bender and the Flying O.H.N.O. Twins (aka Donald Fodness and Alvin Gregario). Gildar Gallery is open Wednesdays through Saturdays.
