"We wanted to do a super affordable snowboard camp for kids that is all about creativity, having fun, and getting to ride with some great pros, something parents could really get behind," says Golden-based pro snowboarder Pat Milbery, who is getting his 7th annual So-Gnar Snowboard Camp Tour underway this weekend at Loveland, the first of thirteen camp stops across the country. The tour, formerly known as the Mighty Midwest Snowboard Camp Tour, now spans from coast to coast and even makes a stop in Japan in February, and runs in parallel with So-Gnar's Shred Circuit contest series.

The two-day camp (Saturday and Sunday, December 1-2) costs $175 -- lift tickets included -- or $125 for riders with season passes, and includes one-on-one instruction in the terrain park with Milbery, a cadre of Never Summer team riders, and So-Gnar coaches including Cody Potter, Billy Rodriguez, Austin Ezman, and Courtney Newburg. Registration is available online or in person on Saturday at Loveland.

Registration for the Shred Circuit contest on Saturday is $20; the event serves as a qualifier for the Shred Circuit finals at Winter Park on April 13.

Need some extra motivation?

"We're super stoked to have a couple of new sponsors on board this season, including Never Summer and Zeal Optics and a bunch of other great Colorado companies, and we've got a ton of awesome product to give away this weekend," says Milbery.
