Its all a part of Gorinto, a semi-regular event thats pretty eclectic in its own right. Weve had everything from electronic art to 16mm film to a fourteen-piece avant-garde orchestra, says curator and Mercury Cafe cook Corey Elbin. Tonights installation finds Goldhamer headlining an all-female cast of local luminaries that includes Kacey Johansing and Shenandoah Davis (both Denver musicians and recent L.A. transplants back in town for the night), Mercuria and a bunch of drop-ins.
Gorinto normally takes place at 8 p.m. at the Merc, but a scheduling conflict moved tonights performance to the Meadowlark, 2710 Larimer Street. Dont fret, though: The Gorinto tradition of a $5 dinner remains intact, along with a $5 door charge.
