It's always a good Friday when Untitled rolls into the Denver Art Museum: The monthly last-Friday series, which makes looking at art fun and proactively unboring, turns your museum visit upside-down from the moment you walk in the front door. Tonight's session, Untitled #44 (Road Trip), pays homage to the whole sensibility of taking to the road, both through the artistic eyes of painter Ed Ruscha, whose show Ed Ruscha: On the Road is currently on view at the DAM, and from the viewpoint of the Beat poets who passed through Denver and Jack Kerouac's road-trip epic, also called On the Road. You'll cover plenty of territory in the space of this evening: Here are just a few of the road-inspired activities you're invited to enjoy:

-A global art-mapping project where you can tag your favorite examples of Denver street art without leaving the building.

-Beat historians Heather Dalton and Mark Bliesener discussing Kerouac's On the Road and other Denver Beat connections.

-Private museum tours with your own private poet from Naropa's Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics.

-Live music by Trout Steak Revival.

-Buntport Theater's Joan and Charlie getting tangled up on the road to love as part of their ongoing series.

Experience Untitled from 6 to 10 p.m. at the DAM; all activities are included in the museum admission of $5 to $13 (students with ID are eligible for a two-for-one deal). Go to the website for information or call 720-865-5000.
