"We were getting so many requests," explains the Fabric Lab's Tran Wills. "For different sizes, or 'Can you put this design on a men's collared shirt instead of a T-shirt?' or 'Can they print this design on a suit jacket?'" Not to mention the jewelry: "A lot of designers were getting requests for weddings," Wills adds. Thus was born Made Custom Boutique, a new Fabric Lab endeavor to help customers create the individualized, one-of-a-kind pieces they always dreamed of having.

Made will be a permanent fixture at the Fabric Lab, and to celebrate, Wills is throwing a free open house tonight from 7 to 10 p.m., with beverages provided by Pabst Blue Ribbon and Monster Energy and tunes by the Postman. Hazell, Potential Fashions, Denver Magpie, Equillibrium, Team Evil, Love Las Muertas and Kimono Dragons will feature three pieces each that can be customized by size, color and fabric. You can even bring your own material for the designers to use. Custom clothing and jewelry take about two weeks to make, start to finish, and prices for individualized fashion range from $20 to $150. The Fabric Lab is at 3105 East Colfax Avenue; visit www.thefabriclab.com or call 303-321-3604 for information.
Sat., June 2, 7-10 p.m.
