"We're fighting for supremacy; this is a border war," says Primos owner and wrestler Joey "Terrofyn" McDougal. After training in Mexico City last year and then wrestling in Winnipeg, McDougal made some connections -- and possibly brought beef back with him to Colorado. Either way, he says he and his company of wrestlers are ready to settle things the only way they know how: in the ring.

Primos Hardcore & Wrestling up against Pika Promociones Mexico and CW4 Central Canada Comic Con Wrestling not only represents a three-country showdown, but also three distinct styles in one event."In Canada, they lean toward a European, hard-striking style," says McDougal, going on to explain that moves by wrestlers are more calculated. America style is high-impact and drama-laden, while Mexican style is all about flare and acrobatics.
The night will see McDougal up against CW4 promoter Marc Merric, the antics of MXW Luchadores in the ring and two-on-two rounds featuring Primos' Kissin Kuznz 2.0, Bruce Rogers and Jefferson James. But the event of the night will center around Primos wrestler and crowd favorite, Trajan, who returns to the ring just shy of a year after a loss forced him into retirement.
Though Trajan stopped wrestling in February 2012, McDougal believes the fighter is actually stronger than ever. "He's transformed his body through working out and gained 25 pounds," he explains. This match serves as Trajan's reintroduction to the Hardcore wrestling circuit, where he will stay and train at McDougal's Butcher Shop wrestling facility for the next few months before heading off to conquer the East Coast.
Like all Primos events, Sunday night's Fight Club 3 at Casselman's is all ages, but parental accompaniment for younger viewers is strongly advised. Doors open at 6:45 p.m., first match is at 7:15 p.m. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the door or through Primos website.
