After seeing the last installment of the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, Sven Ceelen decided to move the action off the screen and into City Park, where his own quidditch team, the Denver Dementors, practice every Sunday.

In Harry Potter and the Prizoner of Azkaban, Dementors are described as "the foulest creatures that walk this earth. They infest the darkest, filthiest places, they glory in decay and despair, they drain peace, hope, and happiness out of the air around them." And Ceelen is no less dramatic in his own description:"We're more of a theatrical team than anyone."

Dramatic enough that they've now created their own calendar.

And raves are coming in for these calendar boys. Says Denver Denver:

Dear Denver, I love you! and this is why.

There's a lot to love here. The Denver Dementors will host a calendar release party today at 6 p.m.; the event is a no-cover BBQ potluck, with music by by Doo Crowder, Two Tone Wolfpack, Mega Gem and Summer Salt. Find more information on the team's Facebook page.
