On Friday you can attend a seminar discussing the history of how dogs became man's best friend, and on Saturday you can prove your loyalty to your pooch at workshops on training tips and safety, along with suggestions for how to introduce your furry friend to the outdoors. The first 100 'lil buddies to show up on Saturday will also go home with special treats. Bring the family so you can take home a paw-stamped picture with your pet.

The program coincides with happy hour at  BookBar — so let's toast poetry.
