Sexpot Comedy Lucha Libre & Laughs: Fights on 44th
The Oriental Theater
8 p.m. Friday, $10

We're usually closing out the weekend with LL&L, but this time LL&L kicks off the fun. The wrestlers will be flying around the ring in major revenge bouts and intense tag-team challenges. Nathan Lund and Sam Tallent bring the color commentary, with more laughs coming from Aaron Urist, joined by David Rodriguez, Allison Rose and Nebraska all-star Ryan de la Garza
National Bowling Day
Punch Bowl Social
9 a.m. Saturday, $5

Sometimes you just have to hit the lanes — especially if it's National Bowling Day. Punch Bowl is offering a $5 all-you-can-roll-in-an-hour deal to honor the day. The eatertainment complex will have The Big Lebowski playing on the screens, so you can look up and get some pointers. And don't leave without drinking a couple of White Russians — they're on special all day.

Sloan's Lake Arts and Music Festival

Head to the south side of Denver's second-largest park for a couple of days of arty fun in the sun. There will be plenty of kids' activities along with the art, and the musical acts include Ponder the Albatross, Franny and the Jets and many more
Woofstock
Mount Vernon Country Club
11 a.m. Saturday, free

Lend a helping hand to the Evergreen Animal Protective League while enjoying Woofstock. You can bring your own tie-dye outfit for your pet or make a costume on site for the dog parade. The Modnicks will provide live music while you chow down on hot dogs and hamburgers, check out adoptable animals and more.

Noon Saturday, $10

The best little neighborhood festival in south Denver is back in the swing of things. This year, Felonius Smith will start the music, followed by Chris DanielsEric Lindell and other bluesy favorites. We'll drink to that! Go online for discounted tickets. 

Stompin' Ground Games: Five Points-Whittier

4:30 p.m. Saturday, donations

Thanks to the Warm Cookies folks, we've been making our way around town, learning about different neighborhoods. Now it's time to discover Five Points and Whittier. The Stompin' Grounds Games will include scavenger hunts, walking tours with local notables and good historic conversation. 

Hot August Night Swing Dance Class

5:30 p.m. Saturday, free

Brighten up your summer by learning some new steps. Community Minded Dance and the Colorado Swing Dance Club host live jazz bands and swing instructors out on the Union Station plaza every Saturday for the rest of the month. 
Bellwether One-Year Anniversary Party

7 p.m. Saturday, free

Denver should celebrate the mere existence of shops like Bellwether — and the fact that the coffee/whiskey/retail shop has made it through a year is a real reason to party. At this bash, Bellwether will feature live art, a sale on its retail items, serious drink specials, a photo booth and many more surprises. There's definitely fun in store!
Cannazaar Fashion-Fusion

Noon Sunday, free

Swing by Cluster Studios for this cannabis product and apparel runway party, with local designs from Crystal Lee and M. Cover and music from Mental69 of the Fantastic Host and Collin McKenna. There will also be vapes, vendors, food and beverages in an only-in-Colorado combo. Check it out!
