Ten Things to Do in Denver for $10 or Less (Six Free), July 1-4

Pack as much fun as you can into the weekend: Monday is a holiday, when you can nurse that hangover while watching fireworks. There's plenty of First Friday art and free music, and even a Canadian dance party to keep you busy until July 4. La Alma Connection Art Celebration Block Party and Parade

Take the train or ride your bike and to La Alma, and meet the neighborhood's residents at this block party by the light-rail station. There will be live music, art displays and food trucks to keep you from going hungry. Denver Tool Library Concert Series & Bazaar

Cherry Creek Arts Festival

You know it's the Fourth of July weekend when the annual Cherry Creek Arts Festival takes over Cherry Creek North. First Friday at Sheroz

The folks from the Stuff on Walls pop-up art shop are bringing the good times to the Santa Fe Arts District tonight. Check out zines, prints and media of all kinds created by ten artists, while also enjoying tacos and beer. Los Retro 45 will bring live music to add to the party.

The Sie is hosting a cool little series, Welcome to the Dahl House, which showcases films inspired by the work of Roald Dahl, and this morning's showing is the Wes Anderson adaptation of Fantastic Mr. Fox.  Not only do you get the film for $5, but a cereal buffet as well. And kids get in for free!

Sailor Records 5th Year Anniversary Party

Congrats to Sailor Records for kicking out the jams for the last five years — and throwing a party where we can celebrate.  For only $10 you get to see fourteen bands, including Native Daughters, Muscle Beach, Plastic Daggers and many more. Wrestlers Martin Casaus will go toe-to-toe with Royce Isaacs for the heavyweight title, and a fantastically fatal four-way battle will result in victory.
