Copper Mountain and Keystone both open on Friday -- sick day, anyone? -- which means it's time to start waxing up the old sticks for early season snow conditions. If you've never done it yourself or need a refresher (or if you're just looking to sip some wine and meet rad new women to hit the slopes with this season) join the Women's Wilderness Institute tonight at 7 p.m. for the Women, Wax and Wine event at Outdoor Divas' Boulder shop (1133 Pearl Street). We do love a woman who waxes.

Still need to get your gear sorted out for the season, ladies? Outdoor Divas is hosting a women's demo day at Loveland on November 16 with every ski and snowboard they're carrying this year.

"This season the shop favorites are the Volkl Kiku and Volkl Kenja skis, and we've got great skis from Rossignol, Dynastar, Head, K2, and Roxy," says Outdoor Divas owner Kim Walker. "For snowboards we're really proud to carry Never Summer, a great local brand, and we've also got boards from Burton, K2, and Roxy."
