This Saturday, more than 100 do-gooder scooter enthusiasts will weave through the streets of Denver in support of the fifth annual Scoot for Toys ride, presented by Erico Motorsports and SQREAM Scooter Club; proceeds benefit the Ronald McDonald House, which provides temporary housing for families with hospitalized children.

This year’s event, marshaled by Ronald McDonald and scooter-lovin’ Mayor John Hickenlooper, will begin at 9 a.m. with breakfast at Erico (2855 Walnut Street), compliments of Whole Foods of Cherry Creek; BJ’s Restaurant Brewhouse will provide sandwiches at the end of the road.

The course winds through Denver neighborhoods such as Five Points, Park Hill and Stapleton, and ends at the new Aurora Ronald McDonald House, 932 Potomac Circle in Aurora.

A donation of $10 and/or a new unwrapped toy is suggested. These toys and donations will be presented to the Ronald McDonald Houses in Denver and Aurora for their Christmas Giving program. The complete “wish list” and registration can be found at www.ericomotorsports.com; call Erico Motorsports at 303-308-1811 for information.

And by the way, all of you who prefer motorcycles: You’re invited, too!
