The beer garden opens today at 4 p.m. in Lions Park in Basalt; get some social lubrication going before indulging in homemade chicken dinners by the Basalt Regional Heritage Society and tuning into the sounds of Brazilian band Caji & Salome. Registration for the half-marathon takes place tomorrow at 6:15 a.m. at Basalt Middle School; the pancake breakfast follows at 7:30 a.m. in Lions Park, and the family gazebo opens at 9. Yoga College of India leads the Yoga Stretching Class at 9:30 a.m., so you can get nice and limber before the beer tent opens at noon.
