Tonight, Lannies Clocktower Cabaret invites you to come taste for yourself what Ireland has to offer, at A Night in Ireland. Wines will be paired with hors doeuvre including traditional boxty with smoked salmon, curried pastries, corned beef sliders and Guinness-braised lamb shepherds pie. I think people are going to be really surprised by the fun, gourmet food weve come up with based on pretty traditional Irish fare, says Jefferson Arca of Lannies. People dont think of Ireland as gourmet food and wine, but this caterer has been creative and kind of whimsical.
Following the food, famed local Irish folk band Potcheen will take the stage, and a whiskey tasting will pit Stranahans Colorado Whiskey against the better-known Irish brands. The dinner costs $45 and starts at 6 p.m. at 1601 Arapahoe Street. For tickets, go to www.lannies.com or call 303-293-0075. Ireland is just the latest stop on Lannies monthly round-the-world tour; Latin America is next.
