This year's Cocktails & Karaoke fundraiser for the Kunsberg School for chronically ill children (located on the National Jewish Medical and Research Center campus) is going to be much like the previous five — because you can't improve on perfection. After all, what could possibly be more entertaining than a bunch of people hopped up on cocktails and convinced that they can sing, and sing well?

"The formula's perfect for this event," says the hospital's Kieran Nelson. "People come and pay and sing karaoke. It's so funny, because people love getting up there, and everyone's pretty bad."

Request your favorite song tonight starting at 6:30 p.m. at the Soiled Dove Underground, 7401 East First Avenue, where 9News co-anchor Bob Kendrick will emcee such karaoke kings (and queens) as Rocky Mountain News sports columnist Sam Adams, 9News sports anchor Drew Soicher and Demented Diva Nuclia Waste. Tickets are $75, and sponsorships range from $1,500 to $15,000; contact Nelson at 303-398-1897 or [email protected] to purchase yours.
Sat., Nov. 3, 6:30 p.m., 2007
