Never mind the lingering winter weather: Spring has sprung with the arrival of today’s Sugar Plum Bazaar. The two-day artisan market set inside the beautiful Parkside Mansion will be bursting with handmade items and vintage finds from vendors across the state.

Selling one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces, up-cycled clothing, refurbished furniture and more, the second annual gathering of quality goods is already known for its discerning collection of merchants and fun atmosphere. “You get to meet the people who make what you’re buying, and that personalizes it,” says Jen Carabetta, Sugar Plum Bazaar co-founder and the designer behind local children’s clothing brand Dizzy Izzy. The sale is a great time to check out finds from My French Attic, Gnomes Clothing, Cowboy’s Sweetheart and more than forty other small retailers.

The Sugar Plum Bazaar runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and tomorrow at Parkside Mansion, 1859 York Street; admission is free, but a suggested $5 donation will go to the Ronald McDonald House. A bake sale will also contribute to the charity, and a food truck will sell coffee and breakfast and lunch items outside. For more information, visit www.sugarplumbazaar.com.
Sat., March 9, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; Sun., March 10, 10 a.m.-6 p.m., 2013
