Colorado Cannabis Calendar: Prepare to Ring Out 2017

Lighting up the tree might mean something a little different in Denver than in other parts of the country. Nearly four years after recreational sales began, legal cannabis continues to be the gift that keeps on giving...and offers an ideal way to ring in the new year. Budtenders Ball

The Connoisseur Cup Colorado will host its New Year's Eve Budtenders Ball and qualifying tournament for its 2018 Connoisseur Cup at the Metlo on Sunday, December 31. Running from 7:10 p.m. until well after midnight, the party will have appetizers and drinks as well as plenty of cannabis flower, edibles and concentrates to enjoy from Connoisseur Cup contestants. Attendees (21+) will judge the entries as 2018 draws closer; there will also be giveaways and raffles. Tickets are $42.

Smokin' New Year's Eve Celebration

This 420 New Year's Eve party will begin at Cheba Hut downtown at 5:30 p.m., after which guests will depart for a grow tour at Medicine Man's cultivation and a quick shopping spree at its adjacent dispensary. Partiers will then visit a glass-blowing demonstration in Golden, followed by a trip back to Denver for pot-infused mocktails and a special edition of a Puff, Pass & Paint painting class. Champagne and smoking utensils will be available throughout the trip, but guests must bring their own cannabis. Tickets (21+) are $129.

Join Da Base Camp and Mota Pot in Lakewood for their how-to class on making cannabis-infused bath bombs. Classes take place from 3 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, January 13, and Sunday, January 14. The Conquering Lion party bus will be parked outside with complimentary herbs to puff, and guests will receive a 10 percent discount at Da Base Camp store. Students take home four self-made bath bombs; tickets (21+) are $45 apiece.

Cannabis: A Visual Perspective

This current art exhibit at the University of Colorado Museum of Natural History includes botanical watercolor, colored pencil, print and mixed-media illustrations from the Rocky Mountain Society of Botanical Artists, all of which explore the diversity of cannabis. The Indo Expo will return to Denver on Saturday, January 27, and Sunday, January 28, at the Denver Mart. The business-to-business trade show was built specifically for the cannabis industry, bringing together equipment, lighting, nutrient, greenhouse, lifestyle and ancillary companies for promotion and partnership purposes; there will also be legal, HVAC, technical, packaging, labeling, security and real estate and human resource companies for commercial cannabis. Women Grow Leadership Summit

Women Grow, one of the cannabis industry's largest trade groups, will hold its 2018 leadership summit on February 1 and 2 at the Westin Denver Downtown. Men and women from around the world will meet over two days (three, if you're a Women Grow member) to learn, network and share their experiences in the cannabis world.
