Update (2/12/12): Winner! Congrats to OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder, who won a Grammy tonight for his contribution to Adele's 21, which snagged an award for Album of the Year -- well, and a slew of other nods, as suspected.While Ryan Tedder has garnered his share of acclaim fronting his band, OneRepublic, he's earned just as many accolades as a songwriter, penning tunes for a parade of pop stars including Kelly Clarkson, Beyoncé, Carrie Underwood, Natasha Bedingfield, Jordan Sparks, Leona Lewis, Gym Class Heroes and Adele. That last artist just received six Grammy nominations, including one for 21, an album Tedder (also among those nominated for Grammy last night) contributed to, which earned a nod for Album of the Year.
Beyond his songwriting efforts, though, Tedder, who lives and owns a private studio in Denver, is also an active producer. As such, this year, he's earned a Grammy nomination as Producer of the Year, Non-Classical. Tedder is in contention for a statue against Danger Mouse, Paul Epworth, the Smeezingtons (for, among tunes, Far East Movment's "Rocketeer" a song featuring Tedder) and Butch Vig for the songs posted below.
