Finally got a look at ManeRok's "Troubles" video. As mentioned this past December, the video was directed by the Mile High's go-to-guy for hip-hop clips, Eric Heights (F.O.E., Spoke In Wordz, 3 the Hardway, Ichiban, Deca, The Pirate Signal) late last year, and finally made its way to the web earlier this week.
A fairly straightforward, stylized performance clip, the video (which features a cameo from Mane's son) is from the single "Troubles," due on the MC's solo debut, Ugly Truth, slated for release on Friday, May 21 at Cervantes' Other Side with Deejay Tense, Julox, Boombox Saints, the Casuals, DJ Gyp Da Hip and Diamond Boiz, who will also be premiering their own Heights-directed video for the song, "The Vista."
The night, an evening of new releases being billed as R'Evolution, will conclude with an after party at OCCS (4th and Lincoln). That portion of the evening kicks off at 11 p.m. and features the official premiere of Spoke In Wordz "Never Let Go" video, as well as the release of Ace Miyamoto's (Paradox) new album Ronin, and performances by 3 the Hardway, Turner Jackson and Ginger.
And if all that music isn't enough to entice you out, a portion of the event's proceeds will be directed to Voz y Corazon, a non-profit devoted to teen suicide prevention.
