After eight weeks of battling it out at Herman's Hideaway for ultimate supremacy, the semi-finalists have been announced in the Best of the West showcase we're sponsoring. The crowded field of contenders has been narrowed down to nine acts (Kill City Bombers, Forth Yeer, Sound Traffic, Goldie & The Bears, Fresh Breath Committee, the Epilogues, Synthetic Elements, SoFo and Yerkish), who will face off against each other on consecutive Friday nights for a chance to compete in the finals on Friday, February 26.

While we're not typically huge fans of BOB-type contests, we have to admit, the prizes for this one are pretty sick -- even if we do say so ourselves: over $20K worth of prizes are up for grabs, including $4,000 in cash, a $7,000 recording package with J.P. Manza, a chance to perform on the main state at this season's Film on the Rocks and a regional endorsement from Sabian Cymbals. Full lineup after the jump.

Friday, January 22 • Kill City Bombers • Forth Yeer • Sound Traffic • Goldie & The Bears

Friday, January 29 • Fresh Breath Committee • The Epilogues • Synthetic Elements • SoFo • Yerkish
