Denver Ukefest returns in October

For the past five years, the folks at Swallow Hill have hosting the annual Denver Ukefest, which includes jams, master classes, workshops and pretty much all things ukulele. This year's fest, which runs from Thursday, October 10, through Saturday, October 12, features uke-centric acts like James Hill, hailed as one of the world's foremost ukulele players (who performs with cellist/singer Anne Janelle), Aldrine Guerrero, the Haunted Windchimes and the Ooks of Hazzard, with more artist to be announced. Tickets go on sale on Friday, July 25, at 10 a.m.

VIP weekend passes, which are $125, are available until October 1 or until sold out; festival weekend passes are $100 in advance/$115 after October 10; Saturday all-day workshop and concert pass is $75 advance/$85 day of show; Friday night concert is $25 advance/$30 day of show and Saturday concert pass is $25 advance/$30 day of show.

Thursday, October 10, at Swallow Hill Music, 7:30pm Blind Lemming Chiffon + Heavy Metal Uke Jam Kick off Denver Ukefest at Swallow Hill Music with a concert and jam in the Cafe.

Friday, October 11, at Swallow Hill Music, 7:30pm James Hill & Anne Janelle w/ special guests TBA Workshop with James Hill will be held Friday afternoon.

Saturday, October 12, at Temple Events Center; all-day, concert at 7:30pm Full day of workshops, jams, master classes finished with the big Saturday night concert featuring Aldrine Guerrero, The Haunted Windchimes, Ooks of Hazzard, Ukulele Loki and Denver Uke Community. Workshops begin at 9:45 a.m., doors open at 9 a.m.
