Goldrush Festival is just a little over a week away, and tickets for the two-day musical extravaganza are now available.The independently funded and organized festival is part of a long tradition in Denver of music fans putting together worthwhile events like Titwrench, Denver Fest, Girl Wreck Fest, Synesthesia, Denver Noise Fest and many others, going back decades. Goldrush begain in 2011, when bloggers Crawford Philleo, Jake Martin and Ryan Pjesky pooled their knowledge, resources and contacts to put together an event showcasing underground bands of experimental inclinations from across the country. That spirit has continued over the last few years as the festival has streamlined its operation and focused its vision without sacrificing the quality of the event. As I did with Titwrench, I will share another set of pictures from years past next week, but for now, here are scenes from Goldrush's first two years.
