The Ginger Baker Quartet, Saturday, October 14, at the National Western Events Center (call 337-1731 for more information), is a fine foursome: Membership consists of Ron Miles, Artie Moore, Jerry Hahn and the aforementioned Mr. Baker, whose recent album Going Back Home, on Atlantic Records, demonstrates that he can cook with a lot more than Cream. The gig--a benefit for Adoption Alliance and the Rocky Mountain Children's Cancer Center--combines two of Baker's loves, jazz and polo. But even if you get no kick from watching guys on horses waving mallets at each other, the music offered by the quartet, supplemented by guest guitarist/former Police-man Andy Summers, should make for good sport.
