A lot of big concert news this week. Really big. Emphasis on big, both in stature and some literally in name: Leonard Cohen is coming back to Colorado this fall for a date at the 1STBANK Center. Before that, though, Big Gigantic is slated to make its Red Rocks debut in September, Big K.R.I.T. will be rocking the Boulder Theater in July, and Thurston Moore of Sonic Youth is stopping by the Larimer Lounge in June. This Just In: New Concerts and On-Sale Dates

This week's biggest show news can safely be filed under: Must-See! Leonard Cohen is coming to Colorado just before the holiday season starts ramping up in support of his latest album, Old Ideas. The iconic and highly influential singer-songwriter will be at the 1STBANK Center on Saturday, November 3. Tickets for this one go on sale Friday, May 18, at 10 a.m.

Another big concert announcement came down this week, with emphasis on big. Boulder's Big Gigantic is making is Red Rocks debut on Saturday, September 29. While general admission tickets for this show, the band's biggest to date, go on sale to the public 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 12, pre-sale tickets are available now through Big Gigantic's site.

And finally, rounding out this week's Big trifecta: Big K.R.I.T. will be holding things down at the Boulder Theater on Thursday, July 19. Tickets ($18-20) for this one go on sale this Monday, May 14, at 10 a.m. Sonic Youth's Thurston Moore, meanwhile, hits the Larimer Lounge on Friday, June 29, and tickets are $15 in advance and $18 day of show. Ten finalists from American Idol team up for American Idol Live! at the 1STBANK Center on Saturday, July 14. Tickets ($29.50-$65) go on sale on Friday, May 11 at 10 a.m.
