When two groups known for throwing epic parties combine their efforts for a summertime series, you can bet it's going to bring great things to the city lucky enough to host it. That's exactly what will happen with Inception, a collaboration of Afterhours Anonymous and Mahesh Presents. The two groups have joined forces to bring in internationally renowned DJs and producers who've never visited Denver before. First up: Germany's Marcus Worgull, who's played piano since he was six years old and, more recently, done remixes for Germany's Innervisions label. Worgull is perhaps best known for his flexibility, and for his ability to read his audience and drop the sounds they didn't know they were waiting to hear, from deep house and fusion to the more minimal tech house. He'll be supported by Droog (out of Los Angeles and featuring Justin Sloe), Denver's own Joey M, Brandon Bass and Tony Rodelli. Inception goes down Friday, June 10, and is a private, RSVP-mandatory event. (Get more information and get on the list by e-mailing [email protected].)
