Last June, Colorado Public Radio announced plans to convert 1340 AM, an all-news station, to a new music station, and now CPR plans to roll out a new station, Open Air, on Monday, October 31. "Open Air is a natural extension of CPR's mission to offer an in-depth exploration of music," Open Air program director Mike Flanagan said in a released statement. "So, in a given hour, you might hear a mixture of rock, country, soul, folk, world, roots and blues. It'll be a fun and educational destination, complete with interviews, performances from Open Air's studio, vinyl classics and much more."
