It comes with great displeasure that we bring you news of another good Denver band hitting the rocks. Despite a blog post on its MySpace page from October of last year insisting otherwise, SleeperHorse has called it a day. Although the band hasn't hasn't made an official announcement, we have it on good word from a source close to the band that the members have indeed decided to part ways. No word yet on what that means for the act's debut full-length, tentatively titled Indulge, which was due to be released by Bermuda Mohawk, the imprint that released Only Thunder's latest effort. We're also not entirely sure what prompted the split, but if we were betting types, we'd wager a guess that the players have simply spread themselves a little thin with their other projects -- frontman Mike Herrera just reconvened with the Blackout Pact, which is working on a new record, while bassist Matty Clark is splitting his time between Only Thunder and Taun Taun -- making it challenging to focus on keeping SleeperHorse up and running.
