SP Double breathes fire on the Lost Gems Volume 2 mixtape with Statik Selektah

Judging from the unusually vitriolic comments left at the bottom of our recent post focusing on SP Double, not everybody holds the MC in a particularly high regard. Just the same, personal misgivings aside, the cat is an absolute beast on the mike. That much is undeniable, as evidenced by his latest mixtape, Lost Gems Volume 2, which dropped yesterday.

Mixed by Statik Selektah, Gems 2, the aptly titled follow-up to, well, Lost Gems Volume 1, finds SP breathing fire over more than a dozen tracks. On standout tracks like "The One," SP takes an already hot cut ("The One" by Slaughterhouse), adds Cody Beastly from American Trash Republic, and somehow makes it burn even hotter. Ditto "Last Hope." Although SP's cadence isn't as forceful as Drake's, he does justice to that insatiable hook.
